This is the Joel Lane House and Museum in North Carolina's capital, Raleigh. It was the near the site of the State Assembly meeting in 1781 at the Wake County Courthouse. Joel Lane was a prominent public representative to the North Carolina Assembly and successfully help create Wake County in 1771 and the City of Raleigh in 1792. The grounds can be visited at the corner of St. Mary's and Hargett Streets, just west of the Statehouse. More information can be found at the website here.
